The National Weather Service confirmed Sunday that two late-night storms Saturday were EFO tornadoes, KARE-TV reported.
The tornadoes, which struck areas of Burnsville and Eagan, downed numerous trees and power lines — and some homes were damaged by the falling trees.
Winds were clocked at 80 mph for the first tornado and 75 mph for the second.
As of Sunday evening, more than 7,000 Xcel Energy customers remained without power because of the storm.
